Dear customer today, you were wearing a Vietnam Veteran's hat. I smiled to you and thanked you for your service, My Daddy is a Nam vet too. You wrinkled your nose, gave me a disgusted look and went to my friend's lane. I heard you going on and on about "What I want to know is why is WalMart hiring all of these TEENAGE GIRLS to work when they should be in SCHOOL!"
There are several reasons why a teenage girl could be working during "school hours". This word sucks for some and some don't have the luxury of being able to stay in school. Some are teenagers that have graduated and college does not pay for itself. Some may of willingly taken the day out of school because they need money for a bill.
Some, like me, who you kept wildly gesturing to, are not even teenage girls (but thanks for saying I look that young, I guess.). The closest you had to being right was Topanga, but she is Nineteen and graduated. But most importantly, how is our ages any of YOUR business? Who died and made YOU the police of what is a proper age for girls to start working? I noticed you left all the like young looking men alone, now I normally don't pull this card, but are you sexist or something? Do you think education is less important for teenage BOYS?
In my year and few months working here, you sir, are the most "People of WalMart" thing I have seen.
